Northwest Adventist Federal Credit Union was chartered in 1962. Its initial purpose was to serve the employees of the Portland Adventist Medical Center. Since then the demand has expanded the field of membership to include employees of the North Pacific Union Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists, any current member of an SDA church in the greater Portland area, employees of the Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Alaskan Conferences.
